NetMusic is a growing community of music fans and musicians. Once briefly a corporation, NetMusic is now run by Peter Fosso, along with a few of us who also love music just like you do. We're dedicated to creating a great site for people who love music and who want to meet others who do too. Our goal is to build your favorite music site: music community + one-stop shopping for Everything Music - and
if we don't have what you're looking for, we'll send you to
a site that does!
At
NetMusic.com, you'll find music downloads, CDs,
DVDs, ringtones, music
posters, books, concert tickets,
plus exclusive interviews with
music legends and information about recording techniques, touring,
performing, and much more. Soon we'll create the ultimate online
music community for you, where you can interact with other
music fans and even meet or date according to your favorite
music. Help us create this ultimate site - tell
us what you want!
More about our Founder:
Musician Peter Fosso has been in and around music for a number of years and is known for his dedication to music and philanthropic efforts. In addition to the day-to-day operations for NetMusic.com, Peter is also the Founder of Global Music Project, the 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated toward supporting artists and the preservation of music worldwide (which is why there's so much support for the organization on this site!). Global Music Project is:
(1) Music fans can join the community, (2) Artists can upload music and receive worldwide exposure FREE and, (3) Companies can sponsor the organization and spread the word about their products and services ("Download Music. Save The World.").
During the 1990s, Peter founded Insight Records, a label whose sole purpose was to support up-and-coming local artists. Seattle Women In Rock, the most popular release on the label, was a benefit for the National Coalition Against Domestic Violence and garnered national reviews including Rolling Stone and Entertainment Weekly. Another Insight release, The New Seattle Music Scene helped raise awareness for the National Campaign for Freedom of Expression. Both compilation CDs are still available at http://insightrecords.com.
Peter also has published a local music trade magazine which started as a newsstand publication and then moved to an Internet-only format. He then went on to form Life Like Feel, a Seattle pop/rock group known for their creativity and powerful presentation. The group performed in the Pacific Northwest from 1994-1999 and released their debut self-titled CD on Phisst Records, an independent label, nationally-distributed through Navarre. During that same period, he also launched NetMusic.com, which evolved into a popular music site and became a publicly traded company. (The company/corporation ceased doing business.)
Currently, Peter also advises companies in their development and is a voting member for the Recording Academy, the organization best known for its annual Grammy Awards telecast. Additionally, he manages Music2Deal (the international networking site for the music industry) for the U.S., and also serves on the advisory boards of several companies.
Please
support this great non-profit organization:
